A MATTER OF ATTITUDE

Reliability, sincerity, credibility and integrity are part of our self-image and are the guidelines for our daily actions. Sustainable economic success can only be achieved if the regulations and standards within the SPIE Group are observed. SPIE’s business model is based on our proximity to the customer. Therefore, the actions of every employee are essential for honest and compliant behavior in everyday business. How do we achieve that? The ethics committee team and our compliance officer support SPIE employees in avoiding misconduct and the resulting risks by providing targeted information and personal advice. The tasks of our ethics committee and our compliance officer are as follows: Both ensure that the common understanding of the “Ethical Principles of SPIE” and a uniform understanding of the compliance rules are appropriately disseminated within SPIE Germany & Central Europe. They ensure that appropriate procedures are in place. They organize and conduct training courses and are available to answer employees’ questions. They investigate all violations of the Code of Ethics reported to them and make decisions about necessary actions. They assess the risk of non-compliance with the principles and ensure avoidance with the help of internal audits.

In July 2022, SPIE published a new code of ethics and a whistleblower procedure for receiving and processing reports and whistleblowing. In doing so, SPIE is committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
